Can you choose the sex of your baby?

I see a lot of non-prescription, FDA-approved products out there for choosing the *** of an unconcieved child. I also hear of gene restructuring research that is currently in progress, and natural methods (such as certain sexual positions or having *** at specific times during ovulation) that allow you to choose the *** of your baby.

Does anyone know if any of these methods work? Are they safe? Also, is there any research that suggests that such “tampering” results in transgendered or gender-confused children?

I’m not planning on having kids for several years, but I’ve always wanted a girl, and I’m wondering what the options are now, and what they might be in the future, for increasing my chances. Serious answers only, please.
To those who think I’m being naive or dumb, there really IS research in progress that will, in the future, determine the *** of children. So it is POSSIBLE.
